Claudia Coxx, LMSW

With a Master’s degree in Social Work and extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, I bring a comprehensive and compassionate approach to psychotherapy. My expertise spans cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions, allowing me to effectively support clients through a range of emotional and psychological challenges. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative therapeutic environment focused on empowerment, resilience, and holistic healing, tailoring treatment plans to each individual’s unique needs and goals. My commitment to continuous professional development ensures that my practice is informed by the latest research and best practices in mental health care.

I bring over 10 years of experience in private practice, providing compassionate and effective support to individuals and families. I completed my Master’s in Social Work with a clinical focus at Michigan State University, equipping me with advanced therapeutic skills and a strong foundation in evidence-based practice. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, which has deepened my understanding of human behavior and mental health.

I have extensive experience working with people of color. As a biracial woman, I bring a unique and authentic perspective to my work that allows me to connect deeply and effectively with diverse communities. This lived experience enhances my cultural competence and informs my approach to providing respectful, empathetic, and tailored support.

I enjoy working with all genders, providing supportive and individualized care tailored to each person's unique needs. However, I particularly enjoy working with women's health issues, including antepartum and postpartum care, depression, anxiety, and parenting support. My approach combines evidence-based practices with empathy to help women navigate these important life stages and challenges effectively.
